Transitioning to my Cambridge portfolio project!

Hello! Starting today, my blog will be completely geared towards the process of development behind my Cambridge Portfolio project. I feel veeery well prepared as all of the projects we have worked on so far have successfully geared us towards getting started, and succeeding on our portfolios. Also, our teacher recently gave us an in-depth lesson on film openings, followed with examples of successful ones in order to help us gain a deeper understanding of what a good film opening contains, as well as what goes into creating a good one.

Here is an example of the notes I took on film openings in general, as well as my thoughts on the examples we were given/ what I took from them for the success of my own project:

Out of these instructions, what interests me the most is the development of genre, especially through different elements of mis-en-scene, which will definitely help me to set an overall mood and purpose for my project, something which i feel is invaluable in a film opening, as the first 2 minutes of a film can either make or break the film, and having this opening as the only media in which we provide i want to make it the best that I feel I can, with all of the resources and knowledge I have been given.

I have decided also decided to work in a group for my project, as I feel that with the combination of 3 people who are all knowledgeable in this class, my project can be better then if I were to work on my own. I also feel as if working with a team, and what that entails will make my project more successful, and something fun that I would like to work on, and when I'm working on something that I enjoy, I know that the product will always be better, as it is made out of love!
