Camara Shots/ Angles Quiz

For our first project, we were asked to create a storyline, using only 15 still pictures, with the main focus being an inanimate object.  As me and my partner began to devise ideas, we settled on our main star being a neon green Stanley cup, as we felt it would draw the necessary attention to the cup, as the main subject.

When we decided on an appropriate location (our schools courtyard and hallway), we began the process of creating our project, beginning to set up the cup with the necessary lighting which we believed would help develop our story. Following our shots we began to edit the photos to create the necessary effects (such as black and white for memory's), and a brighter appearance for the pictures/ shots taken after "the accident" to reflect the happier feeling and connotation o the images, seeing as we didn't have more graphics or audio to better represent it.

If I could change anything, I would've better figured out a way to emphasize the color of the Stanley cup, and maybe even dull out the background in order to make it stand out, but I am unfortunately not that advanced in my media skills yet, though i hopefully will be soon. Although, I am proud of the final product for my project, and my use of editing skills that i do currently possess. I also loved my storyline, and the way my shots interpreted/ showed that.

To wrap things up, I enjoyed the process of creating this rather unconventional quiz, and felt it helped give me a solid introduction into media studies and what the class entails. Although it was hard to convey emotion, i feel as though the task has helped me and will benefit me when completing future assignments for this class.
